Contour Mirror attributed to Fontana Arte, Italy, c.1970s
$2,100.00

A striking example of post-mid-century Italian design, this contour mirror attributed to Fontana Arte showcases mastery of glass and form. Designed and produced in Italy during the 1970s, the mirror features an elegant oval silhouette framed by richly coloured blue glass — graphic, sculptural and unmistakable Italian. This piece remains firmly within the realm of functional design, yet carries a strong architectural presence, making it equally suited to contemporary and period interiors.

The mirror is in very good vintage condition, with only minor marks to the mirror plate and glass consistent with age. It can be hung horizontally of vertically and retains a “Cristall” foil label as pictured, which indicates a retail or distributor in Italian-made glass pieces.

Fontana Arte was founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Gio Ponti. It became one of Italy’s most influential design houses, celebrated for pushing the boundaries of decorative and architectural glass. The Contour Mirror designed by Max Ingrand, reflects this legacy, balancing bold visual impact with refined restraint.

Eames LCW Chair for Herman Miller
$1,380.00

A rare chance to acquire an authentic Eames LCW in striking red‑lacquered birch plywood, recently offered from a private Sydney collection where it has resided for over 15 years. A hallmark of Charles and Ray Eames’ celebrated seating design—first shown in 1945 and widely acknowledged as a defining object of twentieth‑century design—this example retains the LCW’s iconic sculptural form: the compound‑curved seat and back, the elegant plywood spine, and splayed wooden legs that create the chair’s characteristic low, relaxed stance.

The vivid red lacquer gives the piece a bold, graphic presence that feels simultaneously true to its era and perfectly at home in contemporary interiors. Original maker’s labels are present on the underside. The chair is in good vintage condition and displays honest patina and surface wear consistent with genuine age—crazing and casing to the lacquer that speak to a life well lived and impart a depth of character no reproduction can match. Sourced in Sydney.

Linea Disegno Chair by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima
$800.00

A striking example of Italian modernism, the Linea Disegno chair was designed by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima in the 1970s.
