This expressive oil painting, signed by A. Holgate, captures a stylised woodland scene with a winding path and towering trees bordering a rustic red building. The bold, sculptural brushstrokes and earthy palette evoke a post-war European modernist influence, with echoes of early Cubism and Expressionism. The work is presented in a vintage frame (not believed to be the original), with a warm gilded edge that complements the depth and texture of the scene.
A compelling piece for collectors or those seeking artworks with tonal richness and a strong graphic presence. The painting carries all the charm of mid-century handwork- from the textured surface to the atmospheric, almost dreamlike quality of the winding path.
In very good vintage condition with expected signs of age to the frame and surface.

This vintage tapestry depicts a river fishing scene with two women and a man, set against a wooded backdrop with a classical urn and distant villa. The design is woven in soft green, golds and dusty rose tones, and framed by a Baroque-style acanthus leaf border in deep green and gold.
It hangs from two fabric loops on the included brass rod, ready to display. The back is finished in a champagne coloured silk.
The tapestry is in very good vintage condition, with no tears, holes, or pulls. The colours are well preserved with only minor wear consistent with age.

A striking pair of vintage lamps that marry 1970’s California warmth with mid‑century form. Each lamp features a woven cane decorative base with a removable top, set atop a smoky brown timber block. A metal stem rises from the timber block to support the lampshade. The pair is in good pre‑loved condition: the linen shades show some age spots and one of the shades has a crack in the internal plastic. The cane displays minor inconsistencies, and the timber bases bear light signs of use. Both lamps are in working order and are sole “as is”.

This 1970s five-piece modular sofa radiates period charm and all-day comfort. Newly upholstered in Warwick Fabrics’ Norden range in “Chocolate,” the textile is a deliberate nod to the era — warm, nostalgic and immediately welcoming. Norden’s table-top ribbing creates the signature dimensional cord stripe, while a subtle chenille thread adds depth and a lived-in patina that catches the light for a refined textured finish. The fabric also benefits from WarGuard protection, a water-based, low-impact treatment free from harmful chemicals.
