A beautifully aged bamboo swivel chair, hand crafted in the Philippines durning the mid 20th century. The hooped bamboo frame has been left completely untouched, preserving the rich, honeyed patina and gentle wear- honest age and character.
The chair features a classic hoop-back silhouette with slender spindle detailing, a generous swivel seat, and a sturdy X-form base bound in a traditional cane lashing. It swivels smoothly and sits solidly, ready for everyday use.
The seats were totally replaced- new timber seats were cut with new foam added and upholstered in Warwick Fabrics’ Harrington range, sage colour-way- a durable, beautiful fabric that brings a soft, contemporary update while letting the bamboo frame remain the star.
