Pair of Vintage Round Marquetry Inlay Side Tables

A lovely vintage pair of round side tables in the French Louis XV style, made from rich mahogany with beautiful satinwood marquetry inlay. Each top shows a central floral bouquet surrounded by scrolling foliate borders set in a sunburst veneer — a classic sign of fine continental cabinet-making.

Both tables have gilt ormolu mounts on the frieze and legs for a touch of understated luxury. The slender, tapering cabriole legs end in delicate brass salts, giving each table a graceful, refined profile.

Sold as a matching pair, they’re slightly different in diameter, which makes them perfect for nesting together or spreading around the home as individual accent pieces. Great as lamp tables, drink tables or bedside tables.

The tables are sold as-is and display some signs of wear. The satinwood inlay has a few inconsistencies, which do not detract from the table’s appearance or function. No maker’s marks were found (only some hand-written numbers on the underside of the base). Sourced in Sydney.
